Georgia's State Art Collection contains more than six-hundred original works by Georgia artists. Many of these artists are recognized nationally, including Benny Andrews, Lamar Dodd, Howard Finster, Larry Connatser and Joseph Perrin. Media in the collection include sculpture, photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics, jewelry, fiber and silver work.

     Recently, Georgia Council for the Arts launched a new Website entirely dedicated to these great works.  It was created in partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting who worked with Georgia Council for the Arts to photograph and digitize all of the pieces.  The result is a visually, dynamic, interactive Internet site that is as informative and entertaining.  It is a place for artists, educators and those who appreciate great art.
