Grants in Emerging Fields, Innovative Literature and Performing Arts
Artists working on projects in an exciting emerging field, innovative literature or performing arts are encouraged to apply for grant funding provided by Creative Capital, a national organization that supports the arts. Emerging Fields may include digital arts, gaming, sound art, architecture, design, interdisciplinary projects, and new genres.
Innovative Literature may include poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and genre-defying literary work.
Performing Arts may include dance, music theater, experimental music performance, non-traditional opera, spoken word, theater/performance art, puppetry, and interdisciplinary projects. Program Invites Applicants for Themed Residency
The McColl Center for Visual Art is seeking artists to be in residence whose work addresses social justice, access, fairness, and equity. The Center is interested in an eclectic mix of artists, media, content and approaches. In addition to housing accommodations, a travel allowance and use of the facilities, each artist is given $2,000 for materials and a stipend of $3,300. The deadline for application is May 5, 2008.
