The following organizations have been certified by Georgia Council for the Arts as arts organizations that offer arts-in-education professional learning to teachers and/or to schools.
Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre is the leading
professional resident theatre of the Southeast, creating the powerful
experience of shared theatre for diverse people on two stages for youth and adult audiences. For more than seventy years, the Alliance has been a vibrant and creative force in the lives of the region's children and teens by offering a variety of education artistic programming that includes children's theatre and student matinees.
The Art Factory is dedicated to making an arts education available to
everyone – from students to teachers. Providing artist residencies, after-school arts programming, and professional learning, The Art Factory is committed to learning through the arts. Arts Infusion 101 gives educators and artists all the arts-infused tools they need to teach through the arts. Art @ School offers short term artist residencies in dance, theatre, and the visual arts with all instruction aligned with the National Standards for Art Education and the GPS, and integrated with the academic curricula.
The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art serves as the central Savannah river area's only independent non-profit visual art school and gallery. The Institute is proud to offer visual art education opportunities for students of all ages and interests. Quarterly studio classes and workshops are available in a wide range of media from drawing and painting to photography, weaving, clay and sculpture. The Gertrude Herbert's award-winning after-school ArtVentures program provides visual art instruction to more than 3,000 elementary school students annually.

The collections of the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University span the globe and the centuries. Housed in a distinguished building by renowned architect Michael Graves, the Carlos maintains the largest collection of ancient art in the Southeast with objects from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, and the ancient Americas. The Office of Educational Programs offers innovative and engaging workshops in which children and their families explore the collections and exhibitions at the Museum. Through in-gallery experiences and art projects, children learn about the arts and cultures of the world.
